St Anne’s Square is just a 10-minute stroll from The Chymes Holiday Flats, and it has everything you could possibly need! It’s a charming little village-style square with all the essentials (Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Boots, and more!), plus plenty of lovely restaurants, cafés, bars, and pubs. We’ve listed some of our personal favourites below. One of the best parts? Many places have snug outdoor seating, so you dine and drink al fresco in the summer or cosy up under the outdoor heaters in the winter.
Another highlight of St Anne’s is the beautiful rock garden. It’s incredibly picturesque and makes for a peaceful wander right along the promenade. Just next door you’ll find an outdoor mini-golf green - such a fun activity and super convenient! And don’t forget to check out the Beach Huts and St Anne’s Pier while you’re there.
Fairhaven Lake is another must-visit. This gorgeous saltwater lake sits right on the coast, with greenery on one side and the beach on the other. There’s so much to do - hire a motorboat, canoe, or rowing boat, or enjoy the skate park, flat-green bowling, tennis courts, basketball courts, or the crazy golf.
There’s a café right by the lake, with more nearby, plus an RSPB discovery centre and a lovely park. We often go for walks there ourselves; the trails are easy to follow and the views are stunning in every season. You’ll find plenty of space for a picnic, and lots of friendly geese, ducks, and swans wandering about. Whether you’re exploring solo, with a partner, or with the kids, you’re going to love it here!
Of course, we can't forget the beautiful sandy beach that stretches for miles!

Golf
We have been very lucky to have had some famous tournaments and golfers play in this town! There are lots of great golf clubs across Lytham St. Anne’s, for example, the Royal Lytham & St Anne’s Club is one of the courses in the Open Championship rotation and the Women's British Open has also played on the course five times!

Blackpool
Just a 15-minute drive from Lytham St Anne’s, you will find the famous Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Waterpark, and Blackpool Tower! Get fresh doughnuts on the promenade and be sure to stop and have the BEST homemade ice cream from Notarianni’s.

Restaurants
Just around the corner from The Chymes Holiday Flats is Alexandria Drive, where you’ll find Red Rose Launderette and dry cleaning if you need it. And of course, no trip to the coast is complete without fish & chips - The Haven, one of the best in St Anne’s, is right nearby! You’ll also find a few convenience stores and pharmacy close by, so everything you need is just a short walk away.
St Anne’s is full of cafés, restaurants, bars, and pubs - we’ve shared some of our favourites above, but there’s plenty more to discover. Take a wander and if you stumble across a hidden gem we haven’t mentioned, let us know!
