Hill Cottage is a traditional Hebridean cottage that has been sensitively renovated, extended and updated to create a chic and intimate bolthole on the Hebridean Island of Coll.

Hill Cottage now features a beautifully added rear porch, designed as a practical boot room and wet entrance. This thoughtfully designed space provides the perfect area to store coats, boots, and suitcases, keeping the main living areas uncluttered and comfortable. More than just functional, it enhances the overall sense of space, making the property feel significantly larger, more welcoming, and perfectly suited for relaxing stays in any season.
The unique one-bedroom property is sited on an elevated position overlooking the ‘Arileod Straight’, a valley of lush hay fields. It has stunning views over these meadows, towards the sea, the Castles and Ben Feall in the distance.
Please note, during mid and high season check in/out is available on any day except Sundays. We operate a minimum stay policy of 3 nights during this time.

Drive off the ferry, through the village, Arinagour, and then veer left as you pass An Cridhe, the Community Centre. Follow the road for four miles. Hill Cottage is on left just before the airfield.

The remaining amount is to be paid 60 days before arrival.

Perfect cottage for a holiday
Hill cottage was the perfect place to stay for our visit to the isle of Coll. It's a gorgeous little cottage perfectly situated. Beautifully decorated and we'll equipped. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking to visit Coll. We will certainly stay there again. Thank you

Great wee cottage. Comfortable, well equipped, beautiful crockery, two arm chairs rather than sofa, good TV, wifi. Good shower.
Cosy cottage. too cosy duvet!
Hill Cottage is a cosy cottage in a great location - walking/cycling distance from some of the best beaches on the island. It has a great wood-burning stove, well equipped kitchen and nice garden to sit out, also handy big shed to store bikes. Water from taps is not suitable for drinking, but there was a good supply of bottled water left for us. Only thing we'd really have liked is a thinner/cooler duvet, as the one supplied is a really thick feather one - nice in winter perhaps, but maybe too hot in summer). Otherwise, a great place to stay in a great part of the island.
Amazing island, good cottage
The cottage is very compact, but layout works well, and it is tastefully decorated and well equipped, kitchen is fine to cook in, TV and wifi pretty reliable for such a remote spot. There is a great view from the front, but windows small as an old building. We had mainly dry and some sunny weather - so spent most of the week outside in the beautiful landscape. Might feel a bit cramped place to stay in a wet week. There is a perfect shed for bikes, and bikes are really the best way to explore this lovely island. Some better instructions for heating would have been helpful - we weren't cold, but couldn't work out e.g. how to turn towel rail off when not needed.
Fantastic cozy hide away
We loved hill cottage, they say good things come in small packages, and that’s exactly how I would describe hill cottage. Fantastic location, with Hen harriers passing over the cottage every afternoon and walkks to the dunes.

Really enjoyed our stay, cottage was lovely, perfect accommodation for two. Great location, booked for next year again already !

Lovely, home from home, cosy cottage. Perfect for two. Peaceful location, ideally situated for easy access to Arinagour, all the beautiful beaches Coll has to offer and walks from the door. Would not hesitate to return.
